Rain did not stop veterans who were set on finding a job from attending the first “Hire a Veteran” Job Fair put on by the Delta Veterans Group in Antioch yesterday at the VFW Post 6435. The event featured multiple businesses, public agencies, and informational booths for veterans looking to get into the workforce.
“Our returning veterans as well as veterans that have served our great country in the past deserve the respect that comes with employment,” says J.R. Wilson. “We as a community have an obligation to our veterans due to the sacrifices soldiers, sailors and airman make on a daily bases for our freedom.”
Assemblyman Jim Frazier was on hand where he provided a certificate to the Delta Veterans Group while speaking to several veterans seeing how he can further help them. Representatives were also on hand from Congressman Jerry McNerney and Congressman George Miller offices.

Nice photo’s however I get the impression the Job Fair was under utilized. Unfortunate.
