At roughly 12:15 pm, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and the City of Antioch responded to a fire hydrant that was struck by a vehicle on Sunset Drive in Antioch. Antioch Police was called for traffic control.
It should be noted, a broken hydrant can put out up to 1,000 gallons per minute.
