Oakland Police Investigating Shooting that Left Antioch Man Wounded

The Oakland Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on July 26th, 2022, just after 7:30 PM. Oakland Police Officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of Foothill Boulevard to investigate a ShotSpotter activation followed by calls advising of a shooting.

Upon officers arrival, they located multiple casings in the area, but they did not locate anyone struck by the gunfire.

Officers were later advised of a gunshot wound victim that self-transported to an area hospital. Officers contacted the victim (Male adult Antioch, Ca resident) who was being treated for his injuries but listed in stable condition.

Officers determined the gunshot wound victim was involved in the shooting and he was taken into custody.

Oakland Police Felony Assault investigators responded to take over the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
