Update: Power Restored to 4,900 in Antioch After Vehicle Strikes Power Pole

At 10:23 pm Saturday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vehicle crash in the area of the 200 block of W. Tregallas Road in the City of Antioch.

It was reported that a vehicle struck a power pole and the driver fled the scene. While responding, it was reported power was knocked out in the area.

As of 10:30 pm, CONFIRE reported the power pole was sheared and “hanging”. PG&E was requested.

UPDATE
PG&E said nearly 4,896 were without power and restoration could occur by 1:00 am.

UPDATE:
CONFIRE said the roadway was shutdown and the pole was still attached to the vehicle and would be on scene “for a while”. The Antioch Police Department is also on scene blocking the roadway.
