McNerney to Co-Host United States Service Academy Nights

The offices of Congressmen John Garamendi, George Miller and Jerry McNerney will co-host upcoming United States Service Academy Nights for area high school students interested in enrolling in one of the U.S. service academies.

Representatives from the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Military Academy (West Point), U.S. Naval Academy and U.S. Coast Guard Academy will be in attendance to explain the application process and provide insight into what life is like for students at a U.S. service academy.

Academy nights are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Solano County Office of Education, 5100 Business Center Drive, Fairfield (in the Blue Rock Springs, Pena Adobe and Waterman rooms); and from 6:30 to 8:30 Sept. 25 at the Antioch Community Center, 4071 Lone Tree Way, Antioch.
