Mayor Harper, would you like to take back your statement about things getting better?

Julio May 31, 2014 - 10:17 am

Well he isn’t saying that much anymore he is using “this isn’t political because I’m not running for office”. Everything he does is political.

Reginald Jamal Brown May 31, 2014 - 10:51 am

How ironic.. he’s an ex cop, now using a cop out for his actions.

You are 100% correct about everything he does is political. He’s the F’n mayor for crying out loud!

Thank you ECT for providing this information broken down that is easy to understand and incidents do not get lost in a 51 page report. Time to recall this council for one who is actually tough on crime and will act on their promises instead of lip service.

Reginald Jamal Brown May 31, 2014 - 1:12 pm

Good point Larry. Thanks ECT for the report. The people should be informed about the truth about Antioch crime.

Much appreciated ECT.

I think I’m going to make a shirt with with the words of Mayor Harper on Antioch crime, “Things are getting better” printed on the front.

Then I can walk around Sycamore and that magical shirt will protect me like an invincible bullet proof vest. Criminals will fear me.

Afterall our mayor is competent and knows what he is doing. Don’t you remember his campaign ads flashing his police badge and his famous motto “Zero tolerance for crime”

Gosh, I feel so safe that there is zero tolerance for crime in this city.

Notice how many times L St. & W 3rd come up. That rat hole needs a cleaning.

Vince Augusta Jun 1, 2014 - 5:31 am

Chuck, For clarification purposes, L & W 3rd is the Police Station …. Regarding most of the warrant arrest calls (L & W 3rd), dispatch generates a call for service when another agency has someone in custody for an Antioch PD arrest warrant, and the warrant needs confirmation — (check out the actual call log) that information/whatever action is taken is then attached to that generated call for service …… A lot of people also go to the police station to make reports thinking they will get a quicker response, not always the case …..
