Livermore Police Identify Oakland Man as Suspect in Fatal Parking Lot Shooting

The Livermore Police Department announced Sunday morning they have identified Jason Alexander Brown, 18 of Oakland, as a suspect in a Saturday night homicide. They have obtained a no bail warrant for Brown’s arrest for one count of murder and one count of attempted murder.

Police say they worked throughout the night to identify Brown.

Detectives also obtained a search warrant for suspect Jason Brown’s residence which is located in the 600 block of Center Street in Oakland, Ca. Around 5:30 am, LPD Detectives with the assistance of the Oakland Police Department, served the search warrant at suspect Jason Brown’s residence. Suspect Jason Brown was not at home at the time of the search warrant and was not apprehended.

Suspect Jason Brown is considered armed and dangerous and anyone knowing his location is encouraged to call 9-1-1 immediately.

The identity of suspect #2 is still unknown.

A man in his 20s died in the Saturday night shooting and another man in his 20s was injured, according to information released by police. Police received multiple 911 calls at 6:05 p.m. regarding the shooting in the parking lot of a CVS Pharmacy store at 1500 First St.

Responding officers arrived within minutes and located two subjects that had been shot inside of a vehicle in the parking lot. The driver, who has not been identified, was deceased at the scene. The front passenger suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to an area hospital.

He is also wanted in connection to a Fresno murder outside a Thai restaurant.
