Livermore Police Arrest Felon Who Passes Out in Running Vehicle With Firearms

The Livermore Police Department announced Wednesday that after a police officer observed a driver passed out in a running vehicle at 1:45 am, they approached the vehicle where they found a convicted felon with firearms and ammunition.

According to police, the vehicle was running as the driver was passed out in the 3500 block of 1st Street in the City of Livermore. Officers saw ammunition lying on the driver’s seat floorboard.

Upon further investigation, Police learned the driver, a 33-year-old Livermore resident, was a convicted felon and on probation.

During a vehicle search, the following items were found: two shotguns, two handguns, two AR-15 rifles, several handgun magazines, ammunition, methamphetamine, and methamphetamine pipes. The AR-15’s and one handgun were ghost guns, not serialized.

The driver and his associate were arrested and taken to Santa Rita Jail. No other information was made available.
