by ECT

On Sunday June 23, Special Haven will be hosting a “Sensory Walk-A-Thon” at Crockett Park in Oakley to help raise money for the Special Haven Multi-Sensory Room.

Stations are going to be placed throughout the course with sensory activities that will be fun for not only special needs participants, but for all participants. Prizes and giveaways will also be included as part of the event.

Donations are encouraged for this fundraiser and can be provided on the form shown below.

“We are working to cover the last expenses associated with our remodel and I think its realistic we will reach our goal by early fall,” said Christine Schwab. “The event is also to raise awareness of the multi sensory room with fun, sensory activities for the kids.”
