Mayor Wade Harper, you need to issue all of Antioch an apology when you stated crime is not down. ECT has provided the stats in a clear and easy manner for all of the public to see that you are full of it. I will never forgive this council for lying to the public with Measure C promises. None of you are tough on crime and shame on each one of you who refuse to keep promises.

This is scary that there can be that many incidents in one week in a city. Fire this city council now. Recall anyone?

Remember this is only a sampling of the higher priority calls.

Mr. Mayor, care to change your opinion regarding crime?

No one can say Cops in Antioch are lazy. They are worth every penny

Every officer you see roll down your car window, they will roll theirs down, and thank them for the job they do each and every day. Tell them to be safe also. They will smile all day.

“Things are getting better” is what our great and competent mayor said about our crime. Never forget that.

Be careful rolling up to a unit and rolling your window down aggressively. It may be taken wrongly. A better way would get the unit number and make a call or write a letter to the PD asking to compliment that officer. Another way would be in person when the officer can see your entire body. Many people don’t understand the extremes the officer goes through every day in a city like Oakland, Antioch, and some others. They deal with the lowest of life. So if there is a chip on their shoulder it is more likely because of the low life they deal with every day. We all are fortunate to have them at all. We could be living in another country where death and violence have no consequence.
