Friday: Antioch Chamber to Host Inaugural Gala

Hat tip Paul Burgarino at the Contra Costa Times who put out a nice preview of this Friday’s Antioch Chamber of Commerce Inaugural Gala to be held at the Lone Tree Golf Course and Event Center.

Awards will be given out for the year’s top small and large business, youth, nonprofit and citizens who made the most impact both this past year and over the years.

Good luck to all of the nominees.

The nominees for Citizen of the Year Award for most impact are

  • Brittney Gougeon,  founded Take Back Antioch
  • 15-member Fourth of July Committee, which raised $60,000 for a downtown parade celebration

The Lifetime Citizen of the Year Award nominees are:

  • Diane Gibson-Gray
  • Hans Ho
  • Gloria Martin

Nominees for the Small Business Award are:

  • Higgins and Oakview Memorial Park
  • Lamothe Cleaners
  • Servpro of Antioch

Nominees for the Large Business Award are:

  • Markstein Beverage Co.

Nominees for Non-Profit of the year include:

  • An Elderly Wish Foundation
  • Antioch Historical Society
  • Brighter Beginnings
  • El Campanil Theatre
  • Friends of Animal Services
  • GFWC Woman’s Club of Antioch
  • Kiwanis Club of the Delta.

Nominees for Youth of the Year include:

  • Briggitte Bolanos, Antioch High
  • Jorge Barahona, Antioch High School,
  • Jamie Ruiz, Dallas Ranch Middle School,
  • Sydney Dean-Jessie, Deer Valley High School
  • Erin McDaid,  Dozier-Libbey Medical High School
