Four time track champion Troy Foulger won the 20 lap IMCA Modified Main Event Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. Foulger had his hands full during the first half of the race as he battled the many time Petaluma Speedway champion Michael Paul Jr. for the lead.
Foulger nudged ahead of Paul with an inside pass on lap nine. Once in front, Foulger went on to post the impressive victory as Paul settled for second ahead of Oresete Gonella.
Rookie Jordan Swank led two laps of the 20 lap Hobby Stock Main Event before spinning in Turn 2. Defending champion Kimo Oreta grabbed the lead at that point. Oreta was flawless in traffic and collected the win ahead of the steady Danny Jones and Nick Baldwin.
In Limited Late Model Main Event action, defending champion Larry Damitz grabbed the lead from Mike Hynes on the fourth lap and held him off to collect the win. Lori Brown followed the lead duo for a third place finish.
Danny Wagner led from start to finish to claim the 20 lap Dwarf Car feature victory ahead of David Teves and Mike Corsaro.
Cori Andrews gained the lead on the 18th lap of the 20 lap BCRA Midget Lites feature when race long leader Craig Dillard lost a chain in Turn 4 to end his race. Andrews scored the victory ahead of Brian Corso and Logan Seavey.
Next week, April 11th, the DIRTcar Late Models, IMCA Sport Mods, Wingless Spec Sprints Hobby Stocks and Dwarf Cars will be in action on the fast one-third mile dirt oval. Racing starts at 6:30 PM.
Antioch Speedway is located within the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds at 1201 W. 10th St. in Antioch. Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens and $10 for children age 6 to 12. Children under six years old are admitted free. A family four pack of tickets is $40. The Fairgrounds offer secured parking for $5.
