Reggie Moore

Former Antioch City Councilman Reggie Moore passed away earlier this morning after battling cancer. Over a year ago, Mr. Moore was diagnosed with lung cancer, ultimately through treatments he was able to fight off the cancer in his lungs. Unfortunately, some of the cancer spread to his spine and had since grown aggressively. He was under the care of hospice with his family and friends keeping him as comfortable as we possible can

“My heart and prayers go out to Dishon and family during this difficult time. Reggie was a great man who loved and served his community and took great pride in doing so. You are going to be truly missed my friend,” said Antioch City Councilman Tony Tiscareno via social media.

Reggie Moore served on the Antioch City Council from 2006 to 2010. His bid for re-election in 2010 fell short after placing 4th. He was also on the Planning Commission from 1999 to 2003. He also served as  President, AFSCME (American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees) Local 444 while he worked for East Bay MUD for a number of years.

Our prayers go out to the family and friends of Reggie Moore and we will provide more information at a later time.

May the Lord above wash your family in that peace that surpasses all understanding and may you feel His loving presence in your time of grief.
