Firefighters Battle House Fire in Pittsburg, Uncover Grow House

At 7:00 pm Saturday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of black smoke coming from the second story of a home in the 1800 block of San Andres Drive in the City of Pittsburg.

Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed the smoke and upon entry, uncovered a grow house and requested Pittsburg Police.

As of 7:28 pm, they had good knockdown on the fire.

Update

Pittsburg Police confirmed the grow house stating  the subject had bypassed the electrical and was stealing power. Officers were able to write a warrant and seize roughly $80k worth of marijuana and equipment from the residence. No injuries in the fire.

That photo is only of what was found in one small room . . the rest of the plants were spread out throughout the house AND backyard.
