Firefighters Battle 2-Alarm Fire on Power Ave, 1 Person Rescued by Sheriff Deputies

At 3:28 pm Friday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a commercial structure fire in the 1000 block of Power Avenue in the City of Pittsburg.

While responding, smoke was showing and was determined to be a working structure fire. It was then reported that 1-person was pulled from the building by a sheriff deputy.

Upon arrival, CONFIRE reported heavy smoke and fire from the building involving multiple units on the first and second floor. A second alarm response was then requested.

As of 3:42 pm, heavy fire was reported inside the structure.

As of 3:53 pm, heavy fire in the attic with a roof collapse in the apartment.

UPDATE

Three residents transported to the hospital with smoke inhalation. Cause currently under investigation
