On Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at approximately 12:22 pm, the East Bay Regional Park District Police Department received a report from the Alameda Police Department of a body of an elderly Asian female that had washed upon the shoreline of Robert C. Crown Memorial State Beach near the intersection of Shoreline Drive and Willow Avenue, in Alameda.Emergency Medical Aide and Officers from the Alameda Police Department and East Bay Regional Park District Police Department responded to the park and located the victim, who was pronounced deceased. At this time, the victim’s identity is not known.
The Alameda County Coroner’s Office was called and took custody of the deceased. They will determine the cause of death.
