Kudos go out to Charleen Earley and her Delta Living Magazine as last nights ribbon cutting is a perfect example of how a Chamber of Commerce should operate as 100 plus people were in the audience for this celebration event across four communities. Located at the beautiful Trilogy at the Vineyards, this was a pretty fabulous event with good food, wine and entertainment.
This was a bringing together of communities if you ask me because the event had representation from the Antioch, Brentwood, Discovery Bay and Oakley Chamber of Commerce’s. Some of the elected folks who were present included Brentwood Mayor Bob Taylor who spoke at the event along with Councilman elect Gene Clare. Also on hand was Oakley Mayor Kevin Romick along with councilwoman elect Diane Burgis. Supervisor Mary Piepho was also in attendance as she and her family were on the most recent cover.

On a side note, I apologize for the quality of photos, I did not have my SLR, I was using my phone camera. Pictured above was Ms. Earley with Brentwood Mayor Bob Taylor (left) and Supervisor Mary Piepho (right).
Here is a slide show from Oakley photographer Steve Nosanchuk who took shots last night (also shot the most recent cover of the Piepho’s). You can contact him or see more of his work by visiting his website at http://www.stevesfreelance.com/

Thank you Mike for this nice post and for attending the event. I was so happy to see all the support from everyone last night. I’m so honored and today just in awe. Wow.
[…] Delta Living Magazine Ribbon Cutting A Blast. […]
From what I can see, a very well attended event. Thanks Burk for posting the slide show at the bottom, it looks like everyone had a good time. We need more of this out here!
Over 100 people at a chamber event? Impressive.
