For those hoping to get a ticket to the upcoming Delta Blues Festival Concert on March 3 at the El Campanil better act quickly.

The benefit concert began in 2010 where Frank Giovanni and a team of volunteers began hosting a benefit show to raise funds for around the community– this year, they will be supporting music in the community, and giving away scholarships to young musicians for college.
This year, the Delta Blues Festival has transitioned into one concert versus a spring and fall show–however, Giovanni says this will allow the the team to focus on the scholarship. Those interested in the scholarship need to apply by February 14.
The Delta Blues Festival has arranged for international blues performers along with bay area local blues stars that will have you stomping’ your feet, clapping your hands – maybe even after you leave the show!
On January 25, Allie Sealey spoke with Antioch’s Frank Giovanni, about his love of music, the blues, local music scene and his love of helping younger artists. Frank also is vital in putting on the Delta Blues Festival in Antioch each year which offers two scholarships to students.
