Deer Valley Students Place Third With “Last Moments” Video, Win $7,500

Teen Drive 365 announced this week that “Last Moments” took third place in the Peoples Choice Awards and will take home a $7,500 prize.

The video was created by a group of Deer Valley High School students who created a 90-second video highlighting the dangers of distracted driving by texting and driving. The team included:  Jordan Bjorklund, Karina Vazquez, Daniel Harte, Joseph Salazar, and Cyrus Peinado

 

The team also won the “Peoples Choice” which carried a $5,000 prize. In total, they walked away with $12,500.

The Grand Prize Winner was Elijah from Mount Carmel High School in Chicago where he won $15,000.

The filmmakers were Jordan Bjorklund, Karina Vazquez, Daniel Harte, Joseph Salazar, and Cyrus Peinado.
