On Tuesday night, Contra Costa County firefighters were dispatched to a report of a garage fire in the 2400 block of Covelite Way in the City of Antioch.
The fire was first reported at 7:50 pm and upon arrival, Engine 82 reported black smoke coming from the garage and while attempting to make access, reported the garage was charged with smoke, however, it had not yet entered the home.
Upon making access, they located a small fire and quickly extinguished without incident by 8:03 pm.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
