Here are a couple of photographs from Tuesday nights vehicle accident in Antioch on the onramp to Highway 160/Highway 4 at 9:09 pm. This was deemed a technical rescue, however, upon arrival of AMR and CONFIRE units, the victim self extricated himself out of the vehicle and no rescue was needed.
The vehicle was apparently traveling up the onramp before going over the embankment where it missed several trees, cleared a fence, before crashing into a backyard. We would estimate the vehicle likely traveled 15-20 feet in the air to clear the fence. Antioch Police and California Highway Patrol also responded.
The incident caused the onramp to be closed for about 30-minutes.
