After all the yelling from community members, the council decides to limit residents to one forum for just 90 minutes? Who had that brilliant idea? They are yet again cherry picking which residents attend to get the outcome the council desires. Shame on this fraud of a city council. Recall Thorpe, Walker and Wilson immediately.

I don’t trust anything that Thorpe and Walker promote. They are hell bent on destroying the hard work of our police department. Look no further than the video posted by Walker. She is a disgrace to anyone who has ever served on ANY city council anywhere. This council is simply pandering to a small fraction of residents and claim the election is what change people want. Thorpe cant be any more wrong and a recall effort will soon prove him wrong.

Ugh!

Those three “council members” (Thorpe, Walker, Wilson) make the city council a total joke! They are hurting our city! These three must be gotten rid of immediately.

“Racial Injustice?” What racial injustice! You want to be accepted? Learn how to BEHAVE properly and stop committing crimes. The only “gap” I’d bridge is make the police tougher on those lawbreakers! One example NOT to follow is the one put out there by one of the members of Antioch’s City Council! The one with the sewer mouth!

Recall? The people spoke on this just 2 months ago. There is no basis for any recall. Sean Wright was defeated and Mr. Thorpe was the victor. He gets an opportunity to show leadership. If, after a year, it looks like Antioch is in recession…THEN we can entertain the idea of a recall. As for Ms. Walker, SHE has shown from the start that she has NO business being anywhere near a position of power. However, given the district boundaries, it will not be easy to unseat her.

And when should we expect to provide dialogue/discussions of the criminal misdeeds of Council Member Walker and her criminal delinquent children???

LOVABLECURMUDGEAON! Why is this city cursed with a mayor and 2 council members (Walker and Wilson) who don’t know their ass from a hole in the head? Why do the surrounding cities have mayors they can be proud of? People I know living in other cities roll their eyes when I tell them I live in ANTIOCH!

Mari Blanchard Jan 15, 2021 - 12:27 am

When I tell people I live in Antioch, they say they will pray for me.

Hey there, LOVABLECURMUDGEON! So, the people spoke three months ago? And we wound up with three POS’s? Then the people were WRONG! It happens.
