The California Highway Patrol stated that around 12:40 am Sunday, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on eastbound Highway 4 near Lone Tree Way.
CHP says the traffic collision is still under investigation and no other details were provided.

ANTIOCH, Calif. – We are saddened to report that at around 12:40 AM this morning, a 50 year old female pedestrian from Pittsburg, California sustained fatal injuries when she was struck by a 2009 Toyota Corolla on eastbound Highway 4, east of A Street. The driver of the Toyota, a 26 year old female from Concord, remained at the scene and was cooperative with CHP. This traffic collision is still pending further investigation.
