Chief Cantando: Antioch Police Sweep Nets 15 Arrests

Here is a message from Antioch Police Chief Allan Cantando who explained some police activity conducted on April 30 where they made 15-arrests for various violations.

On April 30th, 2013 we conducted a proactive enforcement detail which was very successful. During the course of the evening, our officers arrested 15 individuals for narcotics, weapons, and warrant violations. I have no doubt that these arrests positively impacted the safety of our community!

When staffing increases, I am hopeful to have a special enforcement team on the streets 40 hours a week so that we can dramatically decrease crime in our city. In the interim, we will continue these type of proactive details when staffing resources allow.

Thank you to the citizens who were calling in criminal behavior during the course of the night. Our proactive team was able to utilize your information which resulted in some of the aforementioned arrests!
