A beautiful home on the block 1400 block of C Street in Antioch caught fire in the kitchen around 2:25 pm that required four engines on scene from Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but the home is rumored to have been vacant for quite sometime and may even be a case of squatters.
Judging by the location of the fire in the home and the driveway, fire crews made a nice save on the rest of this structure and neighboring homes as this one should have been worse than it was.
