The Black Diamond Ballet presents the Nutcracker, a four-show set beginning December 10 and will run through December 12 at the El Campanil Theatre in the City of Antioch, under the direction of Artistic Director and choreographer Sharon Sobel Idul.
Idul is a founder of Black Diamond Ballet and the proud owner of Pittsburg Performing Arts Academy.
Black Diamond Ballet is an East Contra Costa County non-profit, bringing dance, culture, and magic to our colorful community. The 2021 production will showcase Bay Area professional dancers, including Amanda Farris – Guest Artist from Diablo Ballet, Ricky Navarro – Former SF Ballet, Andrea Herrera – Resident Company Member, performing alongside local student dancers and community actors.
After a year of Crafting the Nutcracker with our virtual audience, they are excited to perform live onstage for the public!

This year, Black Diamond Ballet is producing four Nutcracker performances for the public audience. In addition to those performances, they are inviting educators to participate virtually in our NUTCRACKER: Presented for Schools program with an abridged version that will stream Wednesday, Dec. 8th – Friday, December 10th, to approximately 1,000 students.
