Beerfest Event Raises Nearly $3,000 for Special Haven

by ECT

Special Haven reached its goal Saturday during its Beerfest fundraiser which now will allow the organization to build its much anticipated fully functional mutli-sensory room for special needs children in Antioch.

Thanks to Schooners Grille and Brewery, the event had a perfect location while providing a friendly atmosphere as the event raised just under $3,000 and had tasty beer of all flavors available–if anything, the brewery on hand were generous with their pouring.

The event featured  beer from Drakes, Lost Coast, Thirsty Bear, Lagunitas, Mendocino Brewing, and Napa Smith, and we have five cases of Sierra Nevada, and three vendors onsite, High Water, E.J. Phair, and Ale Industries. Schooners was also serving their beer as well and serving delicious food.

On a side note, it was nice to see a couple folks from Take Back Antioch on hand to lend some support to Special Haven’s goal while Antioch City Councilwoman Monica Wilson also stopped in for a quick visit before heading to another event.
