BART: Bay Point, Pittsburg Station Hit with Auto Thefts, Burglaries

The following are a sampling of incidents that have occurred in Bay Point and Pittsburg provided by BART Police for the month of August to date.

Auto Theft – Bay Point Station
8/15/17, 2200 hours A victim reported the theft of their 2003 GMC Yukon from the Bay Point Station, between 0500-2200 hours. 1708-1253 L22

 

Auto Burglary/Attempt Auto Theft – Bay Point Station
8/15/17, 1803 hours A victim reported their 2002 Chevy Suburban was burglarized and the ignition was damaged in an attempt to steal the truck from the Bay Point Station, between 0500-1530 hours. 1708-1186 L22

Auto Burglary/Attempt Auto Theft – Bay Point Station
8/15/17, 1803 hours A 2001 Chevy Silverado and a 2000 Chevy S-10 truck were burglarized while parked at the Bay Point Station, between 0500-1730 hours. The Silverado sustained damage to the driver’s door lock and the ignition switches in both trucks were damaged in an attempt to steal the trucks. The Silverado has the cd player removed from the truck. 1708-1218 L22

Auto Burglary – Pittsburg Station
8/13/17, 2127 hours A patron reported that their red 2010 Chevy Aveo was burglarized between 1000-2115 hours. An unknown suspect smashed the left rear window to gain entry and stole an empty purse. 1708-1028 L18

Grand Theft (Catalytic Converter) – Pittsburg Station
8/10/2017 1905 Hours A victim reported the theft of their catalytic converter from their 2001 Acura TL. The converter was taken between 0537-1715 hours. 1708-0839 L16

Fare Evasion/ Warrant Arrest- Pittsburg Station
8/8/17, 0903 Hours Officer detained a subject for fare evasion. A warrant check revealed subject had a warrant for his arrest. Subject was issued a citation for fare evasion and booked at jail for the warrant. 1708-0587

Warrant Arrest — Pittsburg/Bay Point
08/08/17 0903 Hours A male subject (Patrick Schuh 10/7/79) was detained for fare evasion. A records check revealed a $75,000 warrant for domestic violence out of San Francisco. Schuh was cited for fare evasion and arrested for the warrant. He was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility. 1708-0587 S33

Fare Evasion/Warrant Arrest-Pittsburg/Bay Point Station
8/3/17 1431 hrs. A male subject (Douglas, Steven, 39 y/o, Antioch) was detained for fare evasion at the Pittsburg/Bay Point Station. A records check revealed three active warrants valued at $25,000 each. Douglas was issued a warning cite for fare evasion and arrested for the warrants. He was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility. 1708-0228 L24

Warrant Arrest/Pittsburg Station
8/1/17 0735 hrs. A male subject (Pendar, Njawa, 39 y/o, San Jose) was detained for fare evasion at the Pittsburg Station. A records check revealed a $10,000 warrant for possession of stolen property held by the Mountain View Police Department. The male subject was arrested for the warrant and booked at the Martinez Detention Facility. 1708-0010 L24

Auto Burglary (Phone Report) – Pittsburg/Bay Point Station
7/31/17 1213 Hours The victim’s 04’ Ford Explorer was burglarized sometime between the hours of 1300 on 7/30 and 0030, today’s date while parked in the West parking lot. 1707-1675 (Master Case) L17

Auto Burglary (Phone Report) – Pittsburg/Bay Point Station
7/31/17 0944 Hours The victim’s 16’ Chevy Silverado truck was burglarized between the hours of 1530 on 7/30 and 0815 hours, today’s date. The victim stated the interior of the vehicle had been rummaged through with $20 in cash and a black Samsung phone charger missing. 1707-1675 L17

Grand Theft (Catalytic Converter) – Pittsburg/Bay Point Station
7/31/17 0706 Hours The victim reported that on 7/28, between the hours of 0605-1725, the catalytic converter was stolen from his 04’ Honda Element while parked in stall #1333. 1707-1678 L17
