Ball, Lopez Earn Top Prize in Hook Line & Sinker Bass Tournament

On Sunday, Hook Line & Sinker of Oakley kicked off its 2016-17 Bass Fishing Tournament Series which saw the team of Jack Ball and Tommy Lopez take the top prize with a total weight of 23.74 lbs.

Meanwhile, the big fish of the tournament came from Casey Vanier and Corey Kramer at 9.80 lbs. They placed second at 16.90 lbs. Third place was the team of Garrett Bradshaw and Josh Gonzales at 15.28 lbs. There big fish was 8.84 lbs.

The opening event consisted of 76 total boats with 63 boats weighing in.

The 2016 – 2017 Tournaments to be held at Russo’s Marina located at 3995 Willow Rd, Bethel Island, CA 94511.

The Hook, Line & Sinker bass tournament circuit is a low cost circuit for the amateur angler. The entry fee of $70 per team includes cash awards for the top 7 teams, plaques for the top 3 teams in each tournament and a hot dog BBQ after each tournament. At each tournament we also have a young angler raffle for our participants age 16 and under. A portion of the entry fee is also used to host the Tournament of Champions and tri-trip BBQ for the anglers at the end of each year. This is a great place to start if you want to fish professional tournaments or if you just want to have fun!
