For the third week in a row, the Antioch Police have surpassed 1,600 calls for service in a single week as they had 1,839 calls between Aug. 25-Sept. 1.

The week included a homicide on August 28 on Ct. and W. 17th  where police later arrest arrested Erick Santiago Granados, Antioch, for murder of a 28-year-old Justin Henry Kroh on August 28 on 17th Street and C Street.

Also during the week, police announced during a 5-day multi-agency operation that a targeted outstanding felony warrants, a total of 87-people were arrested.

Accomplishments include:

  •  87 total arrests
  • 1 arrest of a subject wanted for murder
  • 1 arrest of a subject wanted for vehicular homicide
  • 1 arrest of a subject wanted for vehicular manslaughter
  • 11 guns seized
  • 6 ounces of cocaine seized
  • 2 ounces of marijuana seized
  • 75 prescription pills seized

Your paper/news is doing an excellent job serving our community, I no longer look at the CoCoCo Times as the source of news for the East County area. If and when they publish anything is at least close to a week old and very limited. Thank you for being a real news source for the East County

Either more people are reporting crime or crime is increasing.

Gosh, I feel safe knowing that our great and competent mayor said, “Things are getting better”
