The Antioch Police Department announced Monday that two suspects who allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint outside the Bonfare Market on W. 10th Street have been arrested.
The incident occurred on October 5 at approximately 10:20 am where a man was exiting the store when he was approached by two male subjects.
According to Sergeant James Stenger, after reviewing surveillance video from the incident, Detective Gerber was immediately able to identify one of the suspects.
On October 8 at about 12:50 pm, Detectives were doing follow-up in the area of W 9th and I Streets when they saw the two suspects from this case walking. Officers attempted to detain the suspects who attempted to flee on foot. Due to the violent nature of the crime and a firearm being involved police K9 Kona was deployed to apprehend one of the fleeing suspects.
The suspect who was apprehended by K9 Kona was found to be in possession of a semi-automatic pistol.

That BONFARE should have been shut down by the city long ago! The store attracts some real scumbags hanging in front of it.
