The Antioch Unified School District announced Wednesday the following venue and time changes for promotions and graduations due to expected high temperatures.
- Orchard Park’s Promotion Ceremony: previously scheduled at Orchard Park Wednesday at 1:30 pm, will now take place at the Deer Valley High School Theater at 2:00 pm.
- Dozier Libbey’s Graduation Ceremony: originally scheduled for Friday at 6:00 pm, will now take place at 8:00 pm. The venue has not changed, the Ceremony will take place in the Deer Valley High School Amphitheater.
The District said they regret any inconvenience this may cause, but they carefully considered the health risks to students and parents, guests and staff and feel that these outweigh any inconvenience that may result from these changes.
There are NO Changes to the Antioch HS and Deer Valley HS graduation times.
- Antioch HS: The graduation ceremony begins at 8 p.m. June 3 in Eells Stadium.
- Deer Valley HS: The graduation ceremony begins at 8 p.m. on June 2 at Deer Valley HS.
