Antioch: Two Injured After Red-Light Runner on Hillcrest Ave

A traffic accident Sunday afternoon left two minors injured and needing ground transport to a local hospital.

The accident occurred at 1:57 pm at the intersection of Hillcrest and Country Hills after a vehicle traveling southbound ran a red light and collided with a vehicle traveling westbound on Country Hills Drive explained Antioch Police on scene.

A medical helicopter was initially requested due to injuries sustained, but it was later cancelled.  One of the patients was pulled out of the back seat by firefighters and AMR while another was laying on the ground with her neck supported by a firefighter.

Per radio traffic, a total of three vehicles were involved with one vehicle carrying as many as five-passengers. Antioch Police were also requested after a domestic dispute at the scene of the crash.

No further information was made available on scene.
