The Antioch Police Department reports that Mark Dickinson, a 53-year-old Antioch man, was spotted on Sunday in a white Ford F250 with plates that did not belong to the vehicle.
Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop when Dickinson fled and led officers on a vehicle pursuit around 11:33 pm.
Dickinson ultimately lost control of the vehicle crashed into a residence on Golden Bear Drive. While attempting to take the suspect into custody, he resisted, and a police service dog assisted in taking the him into custody.
The vehicle was determined to be stolen out of Concord. No residents were injured as a result of the collision.
The case is still currently under investigation.

A 53 year old still stealing cars ??? One would think as he got older, and matured in his chosen profession, he would have at least “graduated” to white collar crimes.
So, he stole someone license plate. There must be a system developed to prevent this from happening. Maybe invent a new type of mechanism making this difficult to do. The resident of this house was lucky to not have been seriously hurt or killed in the impact.
It was great to read that the service dog “assisted” in taking the perp into custody. I hope the nice doggie got a good CHOMP out of the guy!
I agree Richard. I mounted my plates with security screws after having one stolen many years ago.
