Antioch: Traffic Stop Nets Arrest of Man Wanted by San Francisco Police for Murder

On June 2, Antioch police traffic officers made a routine traffic stop from a seat belt violation which netted the arrest of a man wanted on an $8 million warrant.

Police say around 8:30 am they took Temu Curry, 37, into custody during the traffic stop after he was found to be on a warrant out of San Francisco for murder and explosives. He was taken into custody without incident.

According to police, he had been hiding out in Antioch at his girlfriend’s residence. He was booked into county jail.

No further information was provided by the Antioch Police Department.

Editors Note:

In a separate incident a few years ago, Curry was arrested in May of 2013 after shop lifting at Kohls on Lone Tree Way that left a Brentwood Police Officer injured. The incident occurred when the officers attempted to arrest Curry, a struggle ensued, resulting in the officer sustaining a leg injury. Curry fled on foot and attempted to carjack a vehicle in the parking lot, but was unsuccessful.  He continued to flee on foot, but was apprehended after a brief struggle with arresting officers.  

In that incident, Curry was booked into the Contra Costa County Martinez Detention Facility, charged with felony battery on a peace officer, resisting arrest, petty theft with priors, and a probation violation.

So he assaults a police officer but is back out on the street not too long after??? Wtf
