Antioch: Station 82 Receives New Fire Engine

by ECT

On Saturday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Station 82 became the final Antioch fire station to become equipped with a new engine.

During a brief housing ceremony firefighters pushed the new engine into the station. This was one of 15 apparatuses being rolled out in the fire District.

The ceremony concluded with Father Bart blessing the new vehicle as well as those in fire and rescue.

The old Station 82 engine was transferred to Martinez.

Looks like from the photos the new engine 82 came without the engine. 10 firefighters had to push the truck into the station after delivery?

Pretty sure his name is Father Robert Rein from St. Ignatius of Antioch. He is the police and fire chaplain for East County.
