Antioch School Board Seeks to Censure Trustee Ellie Householder

by ECT

On Wednesday, the Antioch Unified School District Board of Trustees will discuss whether or not to censure trustee Ellie Householder for not holding herself to the “highest standards of ethical conduct” while not following Board bylaws.

According to the resolution:

“the conduct of demonstrators whose stated goal (and actions thereafter) were designed to deliberately prevent the Antioch Unified School District Board from conducting its lawful business at a public meeting (which is a violation of Penal Code section 403). Householder went on to tweet that “For the last week I’ve heard students chant ‘we will vote you out’ and ‘f*** Mary, Gary, and Diane” and further stated “She is SHOOK YA’LL!! Just a happy reminder your voice has impact to never stop fighting!” To publicly voice approval and support of speech that denigrates her fellow Trustees violates the Board Policies cited above and exceed the bounds of common decency and professionalism that should be a part of all board members’ speech and conduct.”

On Saturday, Householder issued the following statement on Facebook in response to the agenda item seeking the public submit a public speaker card in support.

“My colleagues disagree with my support of student and youth activist in their fight against racial injustices. Rather than have a real conversation about race, they’ve decided to engage in a pattern of tactics meant to silence me – meant to silence a movement and generation of folks who are saying enough is enough,” stated Householder.

This censure comes after Householder participated in the intimidation of Antioch Vice Joy Motts where protesters showed up at Motts house and urged her to vote against School Resource Officers. Protesters blocked her street and used intimidation tactics on Motts. This protest was captured on video by Antioch City Council Candidate in District 2, Nichole Gardner who also participated in the protest.

Householder is also running for City Clerk against Arne Simonsen.

Here is a copy of the Resolution.

It’s too bad she has to act out this way, she will not be getting my vote for clerk.

Ellie Householder is an immature spoiled brat. She is not fit to serve office and should be removed. Could anyone really take her seriously as City Clerk and the amount of chaos she would bring to the position? Ellie lies, she is not interested in a discussion, she is interested in activism and stirring the pot while letting her buddies do all the dirty work.

Is it coincidence your name is Karen or is it on purpose? She’s an ally fighting against white privilege, which you more than likely benifit from and to blind or stupid to recognize. I used to make excuses from ignorant whites like you but it’s obviously you’re biggoted and will never change even with all the evidence surrounding you, bootlicker.

And can’t wait till this old white generation dies off and we can make real progress.

By saying White privilege you’re saying that white people are superior to you, insinuating you don’t have privileges; which you do. Mary Rocha IS A WOMAN OF COLOR. She’s a Latina woman, and this white girl who went to UC Berkeley (where white liberals in the Bay Area are created) is trying to speak over her. So no, you’re wrong. Stop victimizing yourself, it’s gotten really old really fast.

That’s not what white privilege means. More creating Jim Crow laws that restricted what black Americans could do,be,go,live and it was systemic…whites expected it for whites. Why else would I not be able to sit at the lunch counter,too..hold certain jobs, live certain places…and most of all, get a second class education at a run down school, with old textbooks…need more info??

Just because she is on the school board she loses her freedom of speech? Very unconstitutional if you ask me. Not even the POTUS is held to such a standard. Although I wouldn’t hate to see him ..”conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous, and professional manner and to model good behavior for district students and the community”

Will not vote for this joker……Vote for TRUMP!!!!

Frank Sep 5, 2020 - 7:28 pm

Why censure her, let her speak, she is showing everyone who she really all about. When she opens her mouth that is one less vote. She just needs to go, Portland would be a good place.

Jeremy Sep 5, 2020 - 8:24 pm

Tired of these white liberals trying to be the saviors of people of color. Not all of us are oppressed, poor, victims; stop acting like we are. We don’t need your “white privilege” or “position of power”. Ellie we know you’re just another suburban square bandwagoning on a movement. Want a make a difference? Go volunteer or donate to the non-profits that have been helping people before BLM sabotaged everything, instead of using buzz words like “she’s shook y’all”… cringe

She’s a piece of garbage. She brings NOTHING positive to the table. She’s only in it for her political career. She couldn’t care less about the school district; she only wants people to notice her. She employs the same methods as the current Commander in Mischief, who thrives on division and polarization to garner supporters. She not only doesn’t deserve to be on the school board, but she deserves to be removed from her current office. Antioch already has a hard enough time without having her in a position of power.

MRS Sep 5, 2020 - 9:21 pm

This little girl and her tantrums are sickening. But it all boils back down go the parents. Letting their kids run crazy without discipline.

How can we take her seriously? In a nice suit with a nose ring? Really? Sorry my family and I will vote for a real, mature candidate.

To show up at someone’s house and intimidate them to vote how you want, and then to apparently take to the internet and celebrate that intimidation is Terrorism. Ellie is just another scared sjw trying to end up on the right side of History. I wonder if she would call those police she wants to defund the other side showed up at her house

Cristina Sep 6, 2020 - 3:03 pm

Agreed. Seems like the norm among younger generations (and I’m only in my 30s) is to impose their political views on others no matter what, even if that means bringing protesters to intimidate you at your own residence. Often forgetting YOUR rights end where MINE start, do not cross that line ever! Otherwise it is fake equality and liberty. So so wrong, I’m glad true colors are coming out before the election (no pun intended).

I am not familiar with Ms. Householder’s conduct on the school board but, having read her campaign statements for the city clerk position, I’d advise her to re-read the position description for that post.

She seems to think it is a suitable platform for “social activism.” It is not. It’s a statutory professional post that requires adherence to state laws. If she wants to be a “social activist,” she should run for city council.

Cristina Sep 6, 2020 - 3:07 pm

You are absolutely right. The City Clerk’s position is a position to provide NEUTRAL, fair and transparent service to the community. I think electing her in that position would be terrible. And just for the record I am NOT a fan of how Arne Simonsen behaves in that position either!

Al Sep 7, 2020 - 1:13 am

Love how all these cuntervatives are whining about professionalism yet plan on voting for a man that makes fun of a man with a handicap on stage at a rally. Fuckin hypocrites all of you. Your morals only matter when they support your garbage narratives.

Derek Sep 7, 2020 - 10:58 am

Censuring someone for criticizing you seems pretty damn self-serving.
