The Antioch Police Department is currently investigating two shootings that occurred in Antioch today on separate sides of the city which left two people wounded.

The first shooting occurred on Rock Island Dr. off Deer Valley Road which appears to be an attempted robbery which left one man shot in the stomach. We have not confirmed this with Antioch Police, but according to a reader who was listening to the scanner, heard that the subjects were 4 Hispanic males in a grey Altima with paper yellow plates. No word yet on the condition of the victim.

The second incident occurred around 3:00 pm on E. 18th at a home neighboring the Library and across the street from Antioch Middle School basketball courts. The victim was shot in the leg but according to sources on the scene he will be okay.  Antioch Police were also searching a portion of W. 19th.

If anyone has any information related to this incident, they are encouraged to call the Antioch Police Department non-emergency line at (925) 778-2441. They may also text an anonymous tip to 274637 (CRIMES) using key word ANTIOCH in the body of the text.

Note: We will be issuing an update once Antioch Police release official information. Information on this post should be considered preliminary and is subject to change.

Merry fracking Christmas. I hope that the victims recover completely from their injuries and that the suspects are soon caught.

This city is the biggest F’n joke in the entire Bay Area. The only thing that tops the ridiculousness are the people who run this city.
