Antioch Police to Host Fundraiser for 2-Year-Old with Stage 4 Leukemia

by ECT

The Antioch Police Department has announced they will hold a fundraiser on Saturday, April 3, 2021 in support of Adrian Rodriquez, a 2-year-old who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Leukemia.

Antioch Police are partnering with the Asian American Donor Program, as Adrian and his parents live in the City of Antioch and are the owners and operators of Tacuache’s Food Truck.

Since the diagnosis, Adrian’s parents have put their family business on hold as they are spending all of their time with Adrian as he undergoes lifesaving, intensive chemotherapy.

Police are asking for our community to come and support this family on April 3rd from 12:00-5:00 pm at the Antioch Community Center, located at 4703 Lone Tree Way.

There will be five food truck vendors as well as the opportunity to register with the Asian American Donor Program for stem cell matching. Registration only takes a few minutes, and it will help the non-profit organization not only help find a match for Adrian but possibly a match for another patient who is searching for a donor.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, this will be a “grab and go” type of event.

If you cannot make the event we are asking for monetary donations which can be made at the Antioch Community Federal Credit Union or online on the families GoFundMe site at https://www.gofundme.com/f/adrian-joseph-rodriguez. All donations will go directly to the Rodriguez family.

Sign up to register for stem cell matching at www.aadp.org/homekit.
