As this incident was reported in real-time via our social media sites, here is the full incident recap. A burglary occurred in Antioch this morning off Woodside Way which caused Carmen Dragon Elementary School into a lock-down around 11 a.m. as Antioch Police searched for the two suspects.
As units arrived, the subjects ran from the house and jumped fences south bound. A female has been detained in front of the house while 2 males went into hiding. A CHP helicopter was in en route from Napa, 20 minutes away to lend an assist. In the end, both suspects were caught and in custody for questioning.
A police perimeter was set up for several blocks which included Woodside Way, Willowbrook Way, Catanzaro Way and Vista Grande.
It should be noted that one of the possible subjects was wanted for questioning involving a shooting in that same area the other day.

It’s pretty sad when our city schools are in lock down two days in a row. We need more police now!
Agree Jim, however NOW is not an area Antioch functions in. No matter who you hire there is a training period so now converts to many months even on a lateral. To have boots on the ground right now they should have started hiring 18 months ago. Even to get the money for these men and women if we get on the November ballot then there time to collect the money to pay for the hires we make after the ballot measure passes or not. Then hire and training. And we are broke. 2.5 mil . right now. Not counting the 60 mil in unfunded retirement costs.
I am sick and tired of our schools being on lockdown because people can’t control themselves. Community needs to start stepping up and no longer putting up with lowlifes
