The Antioch Police Department say a 4-year-old child was left alone on November 4 after they were dispatched to Westbourne Drive at 8:19 pm.

Police say they were dispatched for a suspicious circumstance where a 4-year-old was left alone and wandering around in a driveway. The homeowner rents their garage to 31-year-old Josefina Flores, her boyfriend and her son.

According to police, the homeowner returned home to find the 4-year-old in the driveway and Josefina missing. They later learned Josefina had left in her boyfriend’s car, leaving her son in the residence alone.

Police put Josefina was put into missing persons and within a few hours we received a call from Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office stating they responded to a suspicious vehicle call and located Josefina under the influence of narcotics.

She was arrested by Tuolumne County Sheriffs. When asked about leaving her son alone, she stated she just needed to “take a break”.

Police say the 4-year-old was placed into protective custody. No further details were provided.

She should lose custody of her son. She’s unfit for parenting.

Renting out your garage? Was it considered a legal rental? This is interesting. Perhaps the landlord is subject to child endangerment also.

The person renting out a garage to a family of three needs to be arrested!
