The Antioch Police Department took a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting and a stabbing into custody on Sunday.
According to police, they arrested Mychal Plew, of Antioch, who was wanted on 5 felony warrants, two which were for attempted murder. A shooting occurred in the City of Concord and a stabbing that occurred in the City of Antioch.
Details of when the shooting and stabbing occurred were not released, however, Antioch police said they have arrested him a total of 39 times dating back to 2012—this does not include arrests by other agencies.
Antioch Police spokesperson Darryl Saffold said Officer Mulholland followed up on a lead when he spotted Plew in the passenger seat of a vehicle leaving a home on the Antioch and Oakley border. He followed Plew until sufficient units arrived when a high-risk stop was conducted near the Slatte Ranch BART Station where he was taken into custody.
Plew has been booked in the Martinez Detention Facility.

Well Hopefully Antioch Residents vote for a DA tough on crime next time.. Thank you police officers for continuing the good work.
A true menace to society! Why is he on the streets?
You should probably keep your comments to yourself …
Joe…the warrants come from the d.a.. Don’t blame current person for 39 arrests since 2012. She wasn’t the d.a. then.
Imagine saying they arrested him 39 times like it’s a f——-g accomplishment. Maybe you know keep him in jail since he obviously is going to do something else. Stupid.
Once again mind your own business don’t u guys have anything else to do besides sitting around being nosey and digging for drama to entertain yourselves with.. has he ever done anything to YOU OR ANYONE YOU KNOW? probably not .. get a life
Oh t.k., your friend is a lifetime criminal. We taxpayers deserve to feel safe and your buddy should be locked up.
