At approximately 1:00 pm Tuesday, the Antioch Police Department responded to a report of a gunshot wound at 7-Eleven at Hillcrest Avenue on Lone Tree Way in the City of Antioch.
Upon arrival, Antioch police located a male suffering from a gunshot wound inside the 7-Eleven. Police secured the perimeter and began to investigate. Preliminary information was that the male victim was shot elsewhere and drove to 7-Eleven for help.
Police were still investigating where the shooting may have occurred and no other information was available. The victim was expected to survive.
As police were investigating this shooting, Antioch Police received a call from BART police regarding three males detained in the Pittsburg-Bay Point station after they got on a train in Antioch and a firearm fell out of a backpack. Police were unsure if this was related or not to this shooting.
Antioch Police have yet to release information on this shooting.
