Antioch Police Give “All Clear” at Chichibu Park After Threatening Note

On Thursday, the Antioch Police Department received a note warning of multiple explosive devices  located at Chichibu Park in the City of Antioch.

Police worked to block off the park and shut it down for several hours located at Longview Road and Acorn Road.  Police treated this incident as a bomb threat.

Bay Area Rapid Transit Police (BART) responded with two K9’s who searched the park and did ultimately find fireworks in a garbage can, but nothing threatening.

By 11:30 they cleared the scene. No other information was released.
