On August 23, a team of Antioch police officers conducted a specialized enforcement operation, looking for people driving under the influence of alcohol.
This team of officers made 11 traffic stops, arrested 3 people for driving under the influence, towed 3 vehicles, and issued 3 citations for other violations. In one of the traffic stops, a passenger was arrested for an outstanding warrant on charges for failing to appear on a previous DUI arrest.
Operations such as this are part of our ongoing commitment to improve safety on our roadways and reduce alcohol related crimes and/or injuries in our community. More are already scheduled for the near future.

Thank your everything you do!
Thank you!! I have seen people drinking in their cars on numerous occasions and driving like a fool. This works well in other cities, we also need camera lights like they have in Livermore and Dublin, I see so many red light runners, even near the school and kids crossing at Hillcrest and Sterling Hills Drive very dangerous!!!,
Great job!
Great work.
The abundance of red light runners is state wide Maybe it is because so many police departments cut their workforce. When we have a full house again watch out! Like hair on a gorilla the traffic officers will have a field day.
@Julio,
I can’t wait for that day. Antioch streets will be much safer to drive.
