Antioch Police Catch Carjacking Suspect and Firearm Also Recovered

The Antioch Police Department made an arrest in connection with an armed carjacking out of the City of Oakland Thursday morning just before 11:00 am on Hudson Ct in the City of Antioch.

Police located the suspect vehicle in Antioch.  As the suspect was attempting to back out of a parking spot, police came up behind him to block him in. The suspect then almost rammed a police vehicle with the car he was driving. A K9 was released and bit the suspect who was then taken into custody after fighting officers. Another subject who was later released.

According to police, they recovered one firearm and the suspect has a felony warrant for unlawful possession of a firearm out of San Pablo. The suspect was transported to a local hospital for a K9 bite.

No other information was released.
