Antioch Police and Firefighters Rescue Dog Stuck in Drainage Pipe

On Sunday at approximately 11:00 pm, the Antioch Police Department received a call regarding a dog owner who reported his dog was stuck in a storm drain in the area of E. 18th and Hargrove in the City of Antioch.

According to police, while on a walk, both dogs got away from their owner and ran into a drainage pipe. They became stuck and could not get out. One dog was rescued prior to police and fire arriving on scene. Office Green was able to locate the second dog.

Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Station 81 responded after being called to the scene. The provided a ladder and helped rescue the dog. Who was then reunited with the owner.

No injuries were reported.
