With the police department arresting so many people lately. I can see why idiots would want to tag the police department sign. I say keep up the good work PD and take no prisoners when cleaning up this town.

MARTINEZ — The Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday charged three Antioch gang members with assault for a savage beating that left a boy with permanent brain damage.

Prosecutor Mary Knox said the suspects, members of the Broad Day gang, are charged with assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury, great bodily injury involving a coma and a gang enhancement. The suspects are juveniles but will be tried as adults, Knox said. She did not release their names.

According to the prosecutor, the assault occurred outside a house party Aug. 8. She said the victim’s body was slammed to the concrete on his head then was surrounded by gang members who kicked and beat him while chanting “BDK!” for Broad Day Killers.

Helicopters were called to help disperse the crowd of approximately 50 juveniles, Knox said. She added that the victim underwent brain surgery and is now undergoing rehabilitation.

The suspects are being held at juvenile hall on $290,000 bail each. They are scheduled to be arraigned in Superior Court on Thursday morning.–cctimes

Thank you APD!! Our family supports your efforts! Why does my family support APD because when we have needed them they were there without judgement. We don’t break laws, therefore we have no reason to fear them. Simple as that! We go to work everyday, raise our children, that is how simple is it to stay out of trouble. Keep busy. A job is going to be just that if you need to feed your family. It’s not always going to be high paying, that’s how life works.
