Paul Burgarino of the Contra Costa Times put out a nice article about this mornings meeting between the Police Chief Allan Cantando and the Latino Community between 9-11 am at Holy Rosary Church, 1313 A St. The meeting is aimed at discussing public safety issues with residents, particularly prevalent issues in the city’s growing Latino community.
I love this type of outreach and kudos to those involved. It was reported that the first Spanish-language-focused Coffee with the Cops drew about 200 families.
Saturday’s meeting will start with an initial introduction and overview of the city’s crime issues, followed by an informal question-and-answer session.

When are they going to meet with the other ethnic groups? There are many of them in Antioch.
