Antioch: No Injuries Reported After Train Strikes Truck

At 9:00 pm Monday, the Antioch Police Department responded to a report of a train versus truck at Viera Avenue at Wilbur in the City of Antioch.

Upon arrival, police stated the truck was unoccupied after being struck by an Amtrak train and all additional resources were cancelled. According to a witness,  they say they saw suspect was seen running down the tracks. Police were on scene investigating the incident which shutdown the roadway on Viera in both directions.

A short-time later, it was reported that no one on the train was injured.

No other information was available on the incident.
